What? What in the heck is NaYoPracMo? Well, it happens to be a clever January-challenge for those of us who might need to become a bit more diligent with their yoga practice (refer to resolutions that were posted earlier).
Much like NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month) and NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), NaYoPracMo (National Yoga Practice Month) has cleverly been created and coined by one very groovy YogaMum. :::HUGE kudos to her for being so cool and clever!:::
To participate in NaYoPracMo is very simple, All you have to do to join is commit to doing a practice every day for thirty days – the duration of January. Of course, the saying is that if you do something consistently for thirty days, it is then a habit. That would be the ultimate goal of such a challenge, I think.
Even if you do have a regular practice, it might be a fun way to shake things up a bit. There seems to be a great little community forming around this challenge and it is always nice to meet fellow yogis.
However, if you are like me and are pining to have a better, more consistent and complete yoga practice, this might be just the thing. I’m very hopeful that it is just the thing for me. I can’t wait! January… hurry up! I’m in!
Check it out… NaYoPracMo.
