Choose love…if for only one day a year, choose to love each and every person – family, friend or stranger – today of all days. This day of love is not of silly romance but of self-sacrificing kindness.

Because real love is a choice; the choosing of what’s best for another regardless of how we feel. The choosing to give when we feel as if we have nothing. If we all choose real love in every area of our lives…wow, “What a wonderful world it would be”.

  1. I told my daughter yesterday when she started her afternoon grumpiness that it was Valentine’s Day, after all, and Valentine’s Day is the day where we practice being super loving and sweet and kind to everyone we love – so we can try to be super loving and sweet and kind to everyone, all the time.

Because sometimes it’s hard, I told her. And we could use all the help we can get. Doesn’t it feel better, too? I asked her.

For the rest of the night, she popped up around corners chirping “Happy Valentine’s Day!” to both of us. I think she even told the cat.

  2. That is so cute and very sweet! I wish she would have called and told MY cat as she was in a horrible mood all day yesterday. I think she could have used an objective voice telling her to be loving, sweet and kind. 🙂
