::: Zazazu Picture of the Year :::

Deeply rooted in fairytale, August Rush is a three-way love story that will no doubt capture your heart if you allow your imagination into it. The cast of this movie is phenomenal but the music – what the movie is about in the first place – is really what will draw you in. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers, who is about as dreamy in this role as I’ve ever seen him, sings and is actually quite good. Very good actually. Keri Russell is adorable and playes her role admirably. But the screen is stolen by Freddie Highmore, the boy who plays Evan / August. He is an absolute phenom, just brilliant.

This is a love story, yes, but such a refreshing one as the child is so much a part of it, as well as the music.

Five stars on every level.

{You know what music is? God’s little reminder that there’s something else besides us in this universe; harmonic connection between all living beings, every where, even the stars.}
