This has been my day, my “Personal New Year”.

One year ago today, I had open-heart surgery at age 32 to repair a life-threatening aneurysm.  It all happened so quickly but today – today especially – I see how far I’ve come, how much good is inside me, how blessed and grateful I am and how much I have to offer this world, so much still to do.  The universe realized this and saw to it that I survived, that my heart was repaired and kept beating.  I don’t know what all I still have to do or want to do or what the Universe has in store for me but I’m realizing and learning and discovering.  Slowly, sometimes painfully.

Always gratefully.

  1. I am so happy you are blogging again…I have decided to blog more, FB less. You really incredible and what a fantastic way to celebrate your 1 year anniversary of living with a wide open heart. You have a lot to say and do, my dear…with room to do it on this blog as you continue to delight and motivate your fan club.
Maybe this blog could be the beginnings of a book?

  2. So proud of you and not only how far you have come, but where you are going and the commitment you have made to be true to yourself, and go the distance. continue on, precious friend. love & pura vida from my heart to yours.

  3. KB- This post shocked me because I had no idea that you had heart surgery! Being one of your virtual friends, I can honestly say that you didn’t ever skip a beat with all of your cool creative projects; you are always so busy 🙂 I have to say that you have always been such a creative inspiration to me. XOXO
